Hello, I am new here, this is my first post. My son recently purchased a 2011 Ranger Sport with the 4.0 engine. It has 73K miles on it. None of the dash lights work. He checked the fuse and it looks OK. Is this a common problem with this model? What should we look for to troubleshoot it? I am a mechanical engineer and have basic electrical knowledge. Since all the lights on the dash are non-functional, I am guessing that there may be a bad connector that supplies power to the dash lights or maybe something bad on a PCB? Any help or guidance is appreciated!

(So far we have changed the fluid in the diff, put on new tires, changed the coolant and replaced the upper and lower hoses and changed the engine oil. Next we plan to do a brake job on the front-replacing the rotors, calipers and hoses.) Just want to get the dash lights working soon so he can monitor the gauges at night.

Buy a OBD scanner/ they are relative cheap and should help solve/ tell you where the problem is. The OBD port is near the steering column lower area of dash.

Thanks Yack! I think my son has one of those scanners, I'll check.
