got a $1200 snowblower for free today because it has a bad shear pin

drove the ranger out to work today to pick it up, ran flawlessly, put gas in her, got home, roll the drivers side window up and hear a big scrape / bang noise... apparently something inside the door broke and the window goes up crooked now, like it's half off the track or something :furious: figures.

Nice grab man! Sucks to hear about the window though...especially with it getting colder

Must be something in the water when it comes to window problems.
My pass side window pooped out on me and won't work now... Have a new reg/motor on order though, hope to get it fixed before it gets too cold.

chit it didnt even get that cold here last winter..... it went from 30-40's to 100's in no time.... i think its gonna be a pretty cold winter this year if the predictions have anything to do with it and the fact that its been down in the 30's a couple of nights here in september.....

    874 pages of $hit Chat… wow !

Predictions for the New England winter are not too cold but a lot of snow.

Plow people will love it, they lost money last year.

I can hear my City Mayor now… we will have to raise taxes to cover the cost of snow removal or even the thought of it.

I just hope the City put away the money they saved last year and can use it this year… NOT !

Anyway, anyone ever change the frame of their trucks, I mean take a bad one out and put in a good one ? ( not meant to be a technical question just something to talk about).

I work at a frame shop. If it's bent, we straighten it. If it's rusted, we cut and repair it. Usually 10x easier than swapping frames.

On a different note, The truck will be inspected tomorrow. I cant wait to finally drive this thing!!.

Good Luck on the Inspection, all will be OK.

Frames - I thought the Ranger Frame was one of the type that you are not suppose to weld to, something about harden steel ?
I am new to frame work, most of the trucks I worked on you just welded to it and bim-bam thank you mam.

Make sure the area has been cleaned very well.

Pre-heat and Post heat are recommended.

I didnt read any previous post, so Im not sure if this response was helpful in any way hahah.

If I ever make it up to MA, my weldind services are free to you Grev.
