Airbag recall

Ive heard rumors about a recall on the Rangers airbags. Does anybody know if there's any truth in it or not?? Hopefully it's just a rumor

Sorry, it is not a rumor. The recall started in 2014 and has not been barely 1/3 completed.

 

But there is a new recall issued December 2017 targeting 2004-2006 Rangers. Due to several deaths resulting from airbag explosions. Go online to eother Ford Owners or National Highway and Traffic Administration for complete information on latest recall.

 

The latest recall is for the 2006 Ranger model only. The original covered 2004 thru 2006.

Awesome thanks guys!! I heard of a couple "explosions" unfortunately here in WV. Hopefully my 02' won't be effected.

I just received the recall notice on my 2010. It is due to be repaired next week.

 

Nice thing about driving a truck from the 90's....I ain't gotta worry about that.

I have a 2006 Mazda B2300. They were very persistent with me. Even had me sign for a delivery of the recall notice. I had it done May 2018.

...and you talked to your local dealer and told them you'd already had it replaced?

 

I did and I can't remember what he said. I do remember the first time I waited at the dealer until it was done and the second time they gave me a ride home and I came back later.

 

...Insane. Sorry you had to go through that.
