My 94 Ranger will not start every time after short or long trips. The engine turns over just fine but the fuel pump does not kick in when the ignition is turned on. I thing it is not starting because it is not getting fuel. Is this the fuel pump or and electrical issue?

sounds like a bad fuel pump... next time it wont start... beat on the tank with a wooden block or something
thats how i ended up buying my 93 - cause the previous owner couldnt get it to start. i found a blown fuse to the fuel pump in the power distribution box. Over time the in-and-out of the fuel pump fuse had become corroded so i ended up having to pull apart the distribution box and cleaning up the terminal. put it all back together and i had a running truck..... well after i replaced the started that the previous owner destroyed in frustration.
