Well, I got a call this morning saying that as my dad was driving the Dakota in his parking garage at work, he went and nailed a concrete support pillar. Now for those of you that know my dad, he's not one to really tell how bad things are. Like the water pump went a few years ago and he played it out to be as bad as changing a tire. Well, according to him it's bad. And if he says that, it must be... Hopefully to have pics of it soon, and then onto the rebuild! My mom told me that the hood's smashed, bumper's shot, probably a headlight is smashed, but Idk just how bad it is yet... For those of you who have never seen the Dakota, here's a pic of how she should look...... I'll have this thread updated with pics as soon as I can get them. :furious:

True, but lately I've kept that truck so clean that it kinda pisses me off... But on the bright side, the front bumper was starting to rust through anyways and he wanted a custom grille that I'm gonna have at making.
That sucks man.. I think your ranger might have influenced it to try and commit suicide because you wer talking bad about her
Yeah I wanna talk clean! Hahaha. And he wanted a grille with an open center for it, but they don't make em and I'd have to custom make it from a factory grille.
Well, thanks to my friends on the Dakota/Durango forum, I have all of the parts lined up and waiting on the word to be purchased. Now to see if I can get a picture of it...
Needs more than I first thought. The pics don't do justice... Needs a radiator because the impact forced the fan into the rad and ripped it open, new rad support, passenger inner and outer fenders, hood, grille, bumper, valence, fog and headlights, and some other things... We had to pull the bumper away from the tire because it was starting to cut into the treads and it couldn't turn.
That's what my buddy and I were saying lol And no, the rates will skyrocket and it would actually be cheaper to do it myself. I've already got the parts lined up thanks to dakota-durango.com. And I'm going down to Harry's Sunday probably to look for parts.
lol nah, Tom is gonna paint everything. But it's staying stock for now until I get enough money to buy it off him this summer.
pete just call insurance and be done with it...theyll prolly total it anyway...thats the best thing to happen to a dodge...glad your dads ok though and honestly pete you dont have the know-how to repair a wrecked vehicle the right way...take it to somebody who does
