Most auto parts houses sell plug kits. Color match pigtails plugs right in. Amazon, Wallmart etc. about $12.00.
Put a temporary jumper in place. If it works do something more permanent. What can it hurt?

Map sensor is near the end of the air inlet hose leading to the air box.
Auto tranny? sounds like you need to drop overdrive, speed up or slow down.
